Aviation Security Trainer - Advanced

Course description

Effective aviation security relies not only on well-trained personnel but also on competent trainers who can design, manage, and continuously improve training programmes within a national framework. This advanced-level training builds on foundational AVSEC knowledge and focuses on developing the capabilities required for senior and lead trainers.

Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP), regulatory oversight mechanisms, and governance structures. The class explores how risk, threat intelligence, and resilience concepts can be integrated into training design and delivery, ensuring that programmes remain relevant in a changing security environment.

In addition, the training develops advanced instructional and management skills, including curriculum development, competency-based training design, quality assurance, and standardization. Emphasis is placed on leadership, ethical responsibilities, and the role of senior trainers in maintaining training quality, supporting compliance, and strengthening national aviation security systems.

Why you should attend?

As aviation security systems evolve, training programmes must go beyond basic awareness and ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with national and international requirements. Senior trainers play a critical role in maintaining these standards and ensuring that training contributes effectively to overall security performance.

Organizations and authorities are increasingly required to demonstrate that training is competency-based, risk-informed, and continuously improved. This requires advanced skills in curriculum development, quality control, and instructional leadership.

This training supports the development of those capabilities, enabling participants to lead training programmes, mentor instructors, and contribute to a stronger, more resilient aviation security system.
