Meet your instructor
Andrew Matters
Until recently, Andrew was the Global Head of Economic Analysis, Forecasting & Policy at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Geneva. He led the team which delivered strategic insights and advice regarding the global economic and policy landscape, and the key issues and developments facing the air transport industry.
These insights informed and influenced decision-makers within IATA, its member airlines and other stakeholders, including regulators and governments. Andrew regularly engaged with and advised senior industry executives, participated in Working Groups and Technical Committees and presented at international conferences around the world.
In a varied career, Andrew has held Executive roles in the strategy and finance teams at Qantas Airways and Leighton Holdings, and was a trusted policy-maker and senior adviser to the Prime Minister and Treasurer of Australia.
