Course description

Aircraft acquisition is a complex and demanding process that most airlines face at some stage of their operations. It is a highly responsible endeavor, as it has a decisive impact on the airline’s overall financial performance. While some carriers have managed aircraft acquisitions successfully, others have made costly mistakes - creating valuable lessons for the industry to learn from.

This course examines how airlines acquire aircraft based on operational and financial requirements, exploring the different types of airlines involved in the process. With a strong theoretical, historical, and economic foundation, participants will gain an understanding of the business environment in which aircraft acquisition takes place today. Practical examples will reinforce theoretical knowledge and illustrate how this intricate process unfolds in real-world scenarios.
