Meet your instructor
Ugne is Group Safety Manager and Member of the Aviation Safety Committee at Avia Solutions Group from 2022. On behalf of Group Board of Directors, she is responsible for oversight and continuous development of the Safety Management System throughout aviation related subsidiaries within the Group, which includes not only ACMI operators, but also MRO, Ground Handling Providers and Aviation Training Organisations.
Before Avia Solutions Group, Ugne had broadened the knowledge of aviation standards, rules and regulations by working in different Commercial and Business Jet operators across Europe as a Safety and Compliance Manager. In the last 10 years, Ugne also gained a solid professional background of Safety Management System (SMS) and various ways of its implementation.
The biggest challenge of her career – being responsible for Air Operator’s Safety Management System, which was approved and verified in one year for stability by European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) directly instead of local Competent Authority.
